A group of residents and staff were lucky enough to score tickets for the The Hickory Community Theatre's production of 'Lizzie' last week, a dark but fascinating musical about Lizzie Borden's (alleged!) murder of her father and stepmother. It was a great show for the Fireman's Kitchen space, and we had a terrific time being immersed in the music and action. There's nothing staid or dull about a 55+ community! Last Friday, a group of residents and staff headed to the Hickory Premier for a concert by Nirvani: A Nirvana Tribute Experience. The venue is just a short distance down the City Walk from BellaAge, and we had a fantastic time reliving the days of '90s grunge rock. The lead singer of the band happens to be the nephew of our new resident, Dale, so the two of them had a chance to catch up after many years apart. Want to join us for the next outing?
